Hen lays in nesting spot but won’t lay.

One of my hens will lay in the nesting spot but not lay any eggs. She’s almost a year old now, she will lay in the nesting spot a couple times a day but never pop out an egg. The last egg we got from her was a soft shell egg about a week ago. Her belly doesn’t feel hard or anything. They have free choice oyster shells. It is also winter so i’m thinking maybe that’s why, we haven’t really gotten any eggs from her this winter. Any thoughts?

it's still winter, it could be a bit. I'm 99% sure Chickens live off spite and confusion so don't tell her!

No for real. Everytime i see her laying there on the camera i’m like you better be leaving a fr!cken egg behind and not just sitting there you fat a$$
