We Have A Leg Injury On Our Hen And We Do Not Know How It Happened. It Seems As If The Leg Has A Torn Tendon Or Legemint. Can These Be Heeled With Wrapping It And Keeping Her Off Of It And We Have Her Away From The Other Hens:(

Keep her isolated if you have accessibility to do this. Let her free range on her own so if the hen at the top of the pecking order pecks it, she doesn't run away. Like you said... Wrap it up and look after her well! Maybe put some purple spray on the leg just in case?
Update me!

WHAT PURPLE SPRAY. wE HAD IT WRAPPED BUT BECAUSE IT IS AT THE JOINT WHEN SHE LAYS DOWN IT CUTS OFF THE CIRCULATION AND HER FOOT GETS COLD. WE THINK SHE HAS TORN SOMETHING AND WE DO NOT LIKE THE IDEA OF PUTTING HER DOWN. SHE IS IN OUR HOSE IN A LARGE DOG KENNEL.

The purple spray is probably BluKote, a wound dressing that may prevent pecking the would by disguising any blood.

Is she standing or walking?

I am going to bump this b/c I have a roo with the same issue. Not sure if it is actually torn or broken or dislocated at the hock...not sure when it happened either. He has been down since Tuesday, in the coop but in a separate area with a 90 watt bulb going for some extra heat, food/water. Seems to be losing weight. what was the behavior of your hen? Mine was falling unable to gain balance, doing face plants when he would get going "too fast" Now he is worse...can you feel that it is actually not in the right place, or that it is out of whack?

hen is doing much better. we took it back out and seperated her from the others. we think it was just a sprain. we let her just rest as you would your own sprian. she would first just fall over the we splint it a bit . you could tell she new something was wrong. when she started waliking again she would lift her foof and think of how she had to put her foot down before she put it down. we kept her inside for about a week and she is doing much better now
