I like having a “hospital coop” like yours inside the coop where the separated chicken can still be a part of the flock. But if you want to quarantine a new bird or separate a bird that might contagious, you would need to put them somewhere else away from your coop, such as in a garage or basement. Your setup looks like it needs more windows for ventilation, especially in summer, but they also need some overhead ventilation in winter.

Thank you for your comment on my new hen house. It's hard to tell but the ventilation they have actually is quite a lot. The hen house is built in a shed that has an upper loft and can ventilate into. Also the window has a venting fan for it an the opposite side from the window are 2 more vents. I'm attaching a picture of the chickens enjoying their new home.

Almost forgot, right outside the hen house I have a dog kennel for complete quarantine.

Update on Cuddles, she is doing better. Still not 100 % but she's now walking around more and flying up to the roosts. Here's some updated pics of her spending time with her flock. She was begging to come out to be near them and our main rooster and hens are keeping the 4 chickens that were suppose to be hens away from her. Looks like we have 4 roosters to cull for winter meals.

I'll definitely do that. The hen house I just built is a 8' x 11' and I put in a 4' x 4' x 3' brooding/quarantine box in it. I just finished it. The pic I attached shows what it looks like before I put in the roosting tree and last wall up. I still have to finish the run that goes to it. This is going to sound strange but did I do the brooding / quarantine coop right or should it have been out of the room?View attachment 1900609

I like your hospital bed, too! We have a wire dog crate we use when we need to isolate a bird, and it sure takes up a lot of space in the coop! Good job thinking ahead . I'll add this to my wish list for my NEXT coop!
