Oh, believe me she can flap her wings and stretch her legs alright! I have the minor wounds to prove it! Giving a hurt hen a bath is not as easy as it seems

Update: Today she seems to be in higher spirits. She is still limping and standing on one leg whenever possible, but there is no more blood and things appear to be improving! I think she'll be just fine

Do you have any idea how long she might be in pain? I don't want to medicate just for the sake of keeping things as natural as possible, but I also don't want her in crazy amounts of pain.

I have treated broken toenails with a little iodine and no pain medicne. My hen limped for a week or so. But just make sure that it isn’t something else wrong, such as a sprain or injury.

Today she seems perfectly fine. A little tender on the feet as to be expected but no limping. I haven't seen any addition blood, so I think we are in the clear! Yay!
