Hen Losing Weight

Her poop is indeed still green. As punishment for tube feeding she let it fly all over my lap hahaha Not funny that it's green, but you know. I tried to rig up a contraption that would make it easier to hold her in place while feeding, but I need a bigger box so she can't reach the bottom. This girl is a kicker when it comes to the tube. These moments alone tell me she is a fighter and she's not giving up. I was hoping the Baytril would be here today, but that was a no go. Maybe Monday? I'm anxious to kick whatever bacteria she has in the bootox and I'm sure she is too.

Lol....eeewwwwww. In have to have my husband help me whenever I tube feed. If i haaaddddddd to maybe I could burrito her in a towel, but I havnt tried it. Have you?

I too had to have help until today. I would wrap her in a towel and hold her while my boyfriend put the tune in. Today he had to work and I didn't so I decided it was the perfect time to try solo. I sat on the floor and put her between my legs. Then I put the towel in front of her so she couldn't kick up like she usually does. I held her head and neck with my left hand and put the tube in with the right. It's still easier with two but people but I feel much better knowing I can do it if he isn't home on time.

Yeah she needs the baytril for sure. Does she have any solid ones at all??

Once I'm a while there will be bits of solid in there, but mostly just bright green mush. Crossing my fingers that the Baytril shows up tomorrow.

Ohh boy....my chicken just started squatting. I would be happy on any other chicken, but I have tried so hard to get weight on her! I guess she is finally healthy enough to start laying, so I guess I should be happy about that. I honestly never thought she would make it to start laying. She will absolutely be laying golden eggs lol.

I really hope it shows up today. I'm not sure how much longer she'll last even with all the tube feeding. She's super weak on her feet.
