My Houdan Hen lost an eye a while back. She has gone down hill and I think is having some issues adjusting, but what is more worrysome is I think she has an infection in the eye socket. I have another one eyed hen that does well, this one seems to have equilibrium issues.
I keep getting gobs of white junk that plop outof her eye every few days. I have agrimycin and penicillen am thinking I should inject her with an antibiotic. I am going to see about getting the eye stitched since it seems to be causing issues.
Any suggestions?

I assume you mean you're going to take her to a vet. That would be great, as hopefully you will get the antibiotic she needs that way. Suturing might be an approach later, but I do not expect a vet will suture a socket with an active infection in it. Although, I had a dog in a similar situation. The vet sutured most of the eye shut, then had us "inject" (syringe without needle) a medication into the socket through the opening he left for this purpose. Worked like a charm.

Actually I will probably have my Horse Vet come here and look at her. None of our small animal vets will touch a chicken. Dr Kathy will help me with just about anything. I am not sure it is an infection or if it is just irritated, it drains constantly and her feathers are all yucky on that side where she wipes it all the time.
