Hen making panting sounds?

houdini who is 1 year old she's acting just fine eats, and drinks normal but is making panting noises that are starting to scare me, is she ok? and will she get over it? or do we have to treat her?

I am not sure, but I think I read here panting is a sign of being in pain. Put panting in the search and see what comes up. Chickens "fake fine" for as long as they can. Check her belly for fullness, discomfort, is she laying?

Can you post more info about your hens' conditions? The second thread under the "Emergencies" heading on the list of threads, is a "sticky" thread with suggestions of info to list to get the best assistance for a sick bird.
