My 18month old black hen has a bare area on her breast that is very red and swollen. I noticed the bare spot a couple of weeks ago after a hawk had gotten into the coop and killed one of my girls. When I looked back then I didn't notice it being swollen, just red. I figured she maybe had gotten into the fray but escaped. She is eating and drinking fine. But I did notice some blood this evening on the feeder, and when I checked her in the coop, I did not see blood, but the area is now swollen and looks like it may be a tumor. It is hot, red, and pretty squishy feeling, like fluid is in there. It's probably tennis ball size. Don't think a vet will look at her. Any suggestions. I don't want to lose another girl. I'm at lucky seven now. Thanks,
