Hey y'all! I have a 1.5 year old white leghorn that I raised from a chick at tractor supply. All six of them started laying about 4.5 months old and I received about 4-5 eggs a day from them even through winter. When spring came they went through what I assumed was a molt and they all stopped laying. When they started up again, one was not laying anymore. Occasionally we'd find a rubber egg in the nest box, but eventually those too stopped. All of my other hens are still laying really well. I haven't gotten anything from her in 6months.
She is allowed to free range and seems perfectly healthy and normal otherwise.
Why would she have stopped laying like that? Did the molt mess up her system. Is there anything I can do for her, and if there isn't, is she safe for eating?
Thanks!
