My hen seems hungry but she isn't able to eat anything. I offered her mealworms before bed last night and she came over to them and was interested but she only touched her beak to them and then shook her head. A small amount of liquid splashes out when she shakes. She seems to have a full crop last night. Today it seems empty but she's doing the same thing. Seems interested but can't eat. She drank water this morning with apple cider vinegar in it. Any idea what is wrong and what to do?

Open her beak and look inside her beak and throat with a flashlight for any yellow material or cankers, mucus, or other material. Smell her breath. Was the crop completely empty this morning early.

Your hen has a crop disorder. Follow the instructions in this https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/ and she will start to feel better soon.

You need to read it all the way through to determine which disorder she has, then follow the directions for treatment carefully.
I appreciate your response. Her crop feels empty today. Last night I was concerned it could be an impacted crop but today it feels empty and she's still unable to eat. Seems like she's drinking water though

I still have no idea what was wrong but she just ate. Her breath is regular. No lesions or mucous in her throat.
