I have had a Barred Rock Hen for 2 months She was the only one to survive a hatching for a school project Supposedly 4 to 5 months old when I got her She is very skittish around my other 2 hens and runs from the rooster How long before she is accepted In about two weeks I will add 6 chicks, all hens to my flock These are Dominique chicks, same as the rooster and hens During the day I have them in a pen in the coop for about 4 hours a day Do you think I will have the same problem with the chicks I have with the hen

She may run from the rooster to prevent mating attempts. She should eventually be accepted by the others in time or when she is ready to mate and acts like the other hens.
