Hen not started laying

I have a 6 months old asil...The hen is fully grown but not yet started laying she doesn't let the rooster mount.Am feeding her layer pellet and she seems ok and top on the pecking order.I don't know why isn't she laying.

6 months is not fully grown...close in size maybe, but still a pullet.
Layer feed might be slowing her growth and maturity.
As will the short days, if you are in the northern hemisphere and not using supplemental lighting.

FYI.....semantics, maybe, but can be important communication terms when discussing chicken behavior.
Female chickens are called pullets until one year of age, then they are called hens.
Male chickens are called cockerels until one year of age, then they are called cocks(or cockbirds or roosters).
Age in weeks or months is always a good thing to note
