Indeed. We had a chicken injured by a dog and my first thought was to put her down. Advice, wisdom and encouragement from BYC Educators pulled her through!

I have chickens with weird, bent or even missing toes (toe joints actually) and it doesn't seem to bother them at all.

This is encouraging! I'll continue to watch her but if it doesn't impead her perching abilities, I'm inclined to just leave it alone
