With the rooster gone now, Gwyneth is doing MUCH better. She is limping less today, and being more her usual self. She is spending time with everyone else out in the run.
All of them seem more relaxed now. Probably because they don't have to keep looking over their shoulders for that Roo sneaking up behind them for a quickie. I even gave them all some wetted mash this morning, and they weren't so wild about eating it. Normally they are in the bowls getting what they can, while also preventing anyone else from getting any. The girls lower in the pecking order usually don't ever get a decent bite. Today, everyone had their faces in the bowls, and there was a lot less drama.
Even the night time roost rumble was more muted. Sure it was still a thing..it always is...but it didn't last as long, and there were fewer skirmishes. With the Roo, everyone wanted to roost next to him.
