I have this partridge cochin who is 5.5 weeks old. She was sexed as female but does have more wattle than I’d expect from a female and tends to stand with a more upright posture. So far I think her coloring is closer to a partridge pullet (based on research) but I’ve never had the breed before. What do people think? Does anyone with experience of the breed know when the typical cockerel coloring starts coming in. I live in a place that doesn’t allow roosters so it will be especially sad if she is a he! 😭 But hopefully I’ll find him a good home if it comes to it.

Here’s “Miss” Marple at 7 weeks. Still has more hen coloring and the comb is colorful but not fully red. I just don’t know!
