Orloffs are pretty rare. I would keep him, if possible. If not, someone would probably want him. The Sussex too.

You mean the two cockerels? It depends on how many ladies they have available and their individual personalities. If there are just the two pullets, then likely not, and even if they did coexist well, the girls don't need two boys. Overbreeding can damage the back feathers and skin, if the feathers break off.

There are (hopefully) 6 ladies and then the 2 cockerels.

That's still not really enough. The usual recommendation is at least 10 hens per rooster for large fowl chickens. However, there is no harm in trying to make it work if that is what you want to do. Just watch for fights and feather damage-- if they get out of hand, then something will need to be done. Or you could keep two separate runs and coops to avoid problems.

I disagree, i think that could be enough. it all depends on the personality of the chicken. i would just see what happens and if they are damaging eachother or other chickens move on from there!

Thanks for your input. My husband still doesn’t think the second is a roo. I do. Guess we will wait and see
