Yeah I have to agree on rooster. Some times hatcheries make mistakes. Most guarantee on a percentage out of 100 chicks of around 90% for the sexing to be right. But I know my local feed store makes no guarantees either. Looks like you got unlucky. Still a very good looking roo. I have just started my experience with EE hatchery chicks Dec. 3, 2009 so I can't help much on the maturing part, but I have see where a lot of people state that EEs are late to mature (especially the crowing).
