I know Silkies are one of the hardest to sex but could use some help!
I have two whites that are roughly 26 weeks old. Only one has been laying for a month or more and the other hasn’t. Not sure which one is laying but plan to put my camera out there tonight to figure it out. I cracked one of the silkie eggs this morning and thought it was maybe fertilized? Could be wrong though since chickens are all new to me! I will also attach the photo of the cracked egg.
Trying to decide if 1 or 2 is a hen or roo or if they’re both hens and ones just got a slow start to laying.
I apologize for the horrible photos of #2. They weren’t being very cooperative with me and wanted to stay under the coop.
Thanks so much for the help in advance!
