Hen or Roo?

#5 is going to be a pretty roo. I'm pretty much always a fan of black and white EEs- they're stately birds. #6 is still very yellow on comb and wattles, so if they're hatch mates I'm leaning toward pullet. Agree with Overo Mare on two weeks will be pretty much definitive, but 5/6 isn't bad!

Can you turn off the red light?

Number 5 is a definite cockerel. Number 6 is questionable. Update with new pics of everyone in 2 weeks.
#5 is Butter & #6 is Blanche 💖🐣 they hav even sparring all day and their neck feathers get all poufed out. I know Butter #5 is for sure but the others since they are also Wyandottes it’s harder to tell.

Thank goodness because that’s what I was thinking. They are hatch mates and so sweet. The only ones that come to me for loves out of my Wyandottes. 1,2,3&4 are harder for me to tell.

Word of advice, 5 and 6 aren't being sweet, they're seeing how far they can get away with testing you. In the chicken world, the top chickens get preened, fed the best food and treated nice. If you treat them as pets like this, there's a strong possibility that they'll turn into aggressive terrors once hormones hit.
