HEN OR ROO?!

Close to 19 weeks old. No crowing. I believe it is a mystic/midnight maran. I go back and forth. I’m just so unsure.

It's a rooster with a big comb and tail. He might not feel like crowing yet

It's a pullet. No male specific feathering and there would be if it was a cockerel. Looks like she's about ready to lay.

I agree, a pullet. I'd be cautious about her laying so soon though. Sometimes combs can be deceiving
