Hen? or Roo?

You should be able to just post the webpage, copy it from your browser right into your message. I am just curious in case I end up with a rooster. I live in town too and sometimes really miss when I was younger living out in the country, although at the time I was younger I hated it.

Does this look like the face of a roo? I havent seen anything that looks like saddle feathers, but this one got its waddles first and is much more pushy/friendly than the rest.

I looked at that safe haven place and it is cool that they are willing to take in birds, but other parts seem a little shady. I mean they will only take roosters if you give a hen or a coop, and then they want donations of food, coops, etc but they sell the eggs and are looking at starting a hatchery to sell chicks. It seems like some sort of weird non for profit, for profit company. It would be interesting to see how they are registered as an organization.

I had the same thing happen to me with Rhode Island Reds and one had a bigger comb, bigger legs, and he was twice the other one's size! He turned out to be a roo, so yes I think he's a roo. Good Luck!
