Hen or rooster

Wondering if he could possibly be a red ranger (meat bird) if he came from tractor supply. It is pretty common from what I have read, for birds to get put in the wrong bins. Is he larger and a different shape to the others?
The OP said he's a stray that showed up already grown. But no, not a Ranger with a face like that. Rangers look a lot like Production Reds, just bulkier.

This guy has black breasted red coloring which is common and found in MANY breeds.

It occurs to me that he could be a Cubalaya mix, too. His tail is all wrong but he stands tall like a Cubalaya.

My post relates to post No.16 by @Wendy Chartier regarding an ISA brown and not the original thread subject. I did tag my initial response to post no 16 to Wendy Chartier but forgot to tag that second reply..... my bad
It always gets confusing when someone else tags their own separate query onto an existing post.

As many have said the bird posted by the OP is a game cross - too young to have had and recovered from frost bite. The second bird posted appears to be an ISA brown but far older than 10 weeks. Almost looks like an older bird just completing a molt.

Oh. I didn't even see hers. She needs to get her own thread, "he" is fascinating.
