This breed cornish cross, is extremly fast growing, ready to eat by 8 weeks and more meat than even a 2 year old bird could produce in only a short period of time. They love to eat. If someone continues to keep them past this age, the body keeps growing while the organs don't reach the speed of how fast the body is growing, so they get a heart attack
