I will be so sad if its so.

sorry Im obviuosly very new to this !

Just Bumping up.
Hoping someone will make me feel better and tell me she is not a he lol

Well thank you for your replies although kinda disheartening. I was really hoping for a she. Can roosters be friendly?

They can be just fine with people. Roosters should be in general not aggressive towards people.

Not to worry you, exceptionally tame roosters in general can have higher incidence of being aggressive towards people.

In general again, roosters that are aggressive towards people are called man fighters in the game hobby and most are culled because it is not desirable. If yours was from this type of breeding, perhaps he will never be aggressive towards you. But same time they can be a little excitable so don't let anybody tease him no matter how funny it may seem at the time. like prodding at him with a boot, toy or ??? to get him to raise his hackles.

If you get hens, game roosters have a strong instinct to protect their hens.. so if you grab a hen and it sqwauks... he may charge and attack to defend his hen.

I hope this is not too scary, think of it being informed and try to go with the flow, perhaps he will be a cool guy after all.

I thought pullet but I'm new so who knows. What I would suggest is a friend for Popcorn if you can. From what I understand is that chickens are social animals and need a friend.
Good luck. Hope it's a girl.

Hi Kev
Thank you that is a lot of helpful information. We are asuuming she/he was dropped here by a raven or something. A few doors down from me (I gave heard rumors) they breed cock fighting chickes. Not that I know for sure nor do I know anything about it its just what I have heard. As you probably have guessed I know ziltch about chickens but I'm learning and they sure are fun. Will popcorn likely more aggressive if we get him a hen friend? Honestly he seeems quite happy alone. Hes been here a month now I'm assuming approx 10-12 weeks old.
Thanks for everyones replies and guidence
