hen or rooster,???

We have a white sultan that is constantly in the coop,,,would like to raise the chicks but haven't the first clue where to begin

Is she sitting in a nest all day or does she just like it in the coop?

She sits in the nest boxes and we move her but she gradually makes her way back in there

Does she Puff up when you go to her? All mine did.

If she goes back to the nest she is probably broody.

I find the best thing is to put fertile eggs under her for her to hatch. If you don't have a nature rooster you can buy some.

No she doesn't puff up just makes a lot of noise and a lot of flapping ha ha
