Hen pecking me behind my back!

That's exactly what I was thinking.
My absolutely female Legbar also pecks me a lot! She even got each of my eyes (different days) as a chick. I am very careful with my eyes around her now. Her pullet eggs are such a beautiful blue and are getting bigger and bigger as she continues laying in NorCal November without lights. Only 2 others of 8 are still laying at all in their first coming Winter.

I have one hen who likes to sneak around my back whenever I sit down on the ground. I will be taking pictures of the other chickens and suddenly there she is! She also bit me on the upper lip once. I think she's mostly just curious. I have to be careful when it snows, too, because most of them will come up and peck the snow off of my boots. They literally stand behind me to do this sometimes and I have to watch to make sure I don't bump into them by accident when I try to move.

Wow,
I am surprised by these stories about hens pecking their humans!
Personally, I've not had one chicken peck at me or my husband in the 9 years we've had several ones, maybe we just were lucky or had docile breeds.
I now know what to do though 😃
