Ok put 6 week old baby bantams n chicken house and only had two hens so I figured it would be ok the babies would be ok .that the there would be a little bit of pecking and then they would be fine . Well that did happen but then I realized that Scream my Americana had up and decided that they were all hers ! Big Girl my Mass Barred Rck could care less . Ok fine and dandy ..... now four months later she is still being mommy ! The Cochin Bantams r full grown ( gave four baby roos away kept two) and have ten girls . Roos r crowing and girls are getting a little red to face . They r about a third to maybe half her size and I thnk she thinks that they r still babies !!! What do I do ??? Help !!!
. But I suspect a time will come when the "babies" have had enough and will make that clear to her all by themselves
