Hen shrieking??

Well that's just wonderful news! I've got the one that has been playing broody for a few hours at a time but since she's not laid an egg I just figured she was being silly, now I know she's practising. :)

She probably is! And mine started at a very young age. Faverolles are good birds. :)

Are you kidding? Or are you serious? I've got two of them you know and I've wanted a good broody I'm tired of hatching babies in Styrofoam.
I guess it depends on the line. I've been breeding Favs for a decade (bantam, LF, multiple varieties) and I've rarely had a broody one. The hatchery Cochins on the other hand stay broody all summer.

That is possible too. I have hatchery Faverolles. It is amazing how there is a huge difference in traits with hatchery Vs. breeder quality. I earn something new each day... Actually hour.

I don't have any idea if mine are hatchery or
breeder. I got them from mpc but they were wrapped in newspaper from a few states away. The description said show quality but they aren't and that's fine just dosent tell me alot about their origin. But I've got a play broody and that's way more than I had. :)
