Hen sick for 2 wks - fluffed, droopy, losing weight, can't perch HELP!

It could partially be related to her molt. The best thing I find for a hard molt is to feed them as much protein as possible, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, anything with a high protein content. It's also good that you wormed her. i hope she makes a good recovery! please keep us updated

How is she? Did she make it?

Did you worm her? With what? (Use the search here on BYC for "worming with Valbazen"... "worming"... "giving oral medications"... "dosages of Valbazen" or "how much Valbazen"... note posts by dawg53 on worming)... Worming needs to be repeated in ten days... she (and any other chickens you have that are old enough) should be wormed... and, if you see tapeworm segments it may well take more than two dosages / treatments to get rid of them.

I hope she has recovered and is doing well.. but, it would be good to worm her if you haven't.... or good to worm her with Valbazen in ten days if you wormed her with something else (Valbazen kills all types of worms)... also good to dust her for mites if you haven't.. and that also needs to be repeated in ten days. You can check her vent and her "armpits" (the skin under her wings) for mites.

Good luck... I do hope she is doing well.
