Hen sitting but no egg

I need some advice please. My three year old hen sits in her nesting box everyday but for the last few weeks she doesn't always lay an egg. Is it normal for them to still sit when their egg production decreases? Thanks for your help.

Maybes she is going broody. Does she sit there all day everyday? Does she puff up or squak when you go near her when she is on the nest?

No. She sits for her usual time, approx an hour. Does not seem to bother her when
we are in the barn near her. She makes no sounds at all.

Sorry, couldn't finish my computer froze up. I noticed for a week before her egg yolk was a lighter yellow than normal. She did have the darker yellow. I contributed this to the oyster shell supp I had been giving her. I should also add that I have new laying hens that.i got back in the spring so I didn't know if this was stressing her too much

Hmm, don't think I would worry. Maybes she just likes to have a sit down.
