Hen sitting down, won't get up? help!?

I don't think lice/mites would affect her so quickly when her roomies are all fine.
The tail down is a big red flag - says to me egg bound or peritonitis, both of which need urgent care.

Is she pooping normally? When did she last lay?
Warm bath for half an hour, then somewhere warm & dark with food & water. & a heavy dose of calcium - break up a tums & put each bit in her beak so she swallows it.

Hopefully it's something less serious, but those measures won't hurt her no matter what's going on, & if it is egg binding it could save her. Good luck x

I don't think that bugs are the problem either, but I've noticed that when they are sick they are more likely to have them and dusting will make them more comfortable.

Oh yes, definitely good advice! Sorry, skim-read & didn't want the OP to get waylaid thinking bugs were the issue of there's a more pressing egg bound problem! :)

I also think that there is something serious going on. I just had one die from an egg/peritonitis/sepsis issue... When I did her necropsy, I found a 515 gram mass of nasty stuff in her oviduct and part of her liver was black. Maybe I could have saved her if I had found her much earlier, maybe not.
