Hen squatting and trying to poop, but having trouble

Our hen is apparently having trouble pooping. She's squatting and holding her wings low. It seems like she is pushing but only tiny ones are coming out. Please help, I don’t know what is wrong with her!! (It is happening as I speak, they are outside free-ranging.)

Never experienced anything like this. Almost like she's eggbound, but with poop. Never seen a constipated chicken. How's she acting now?

You can give her applesauce to eat or mix it in her food. Applesauce acts as a mild laxative in chickens.

It's dark out and they are roosting in the coop. Should I try to give her applesauce now or wait till the morning? Will she be fine overnight?

Does she have any problems laying eggs?

I agree, I'd give the applesauce and see if that helps.
