Hen Squawking when other Hen is in the coop laying an egg-normal??

Not sure if this is normal or not...when my less aggressive NH Red hen is in the coop laying an egg, my other hen sounds off (# 1 pecking order hen) squawking to the world (loud).

Not sure if she's taken on the role of being protective like a rooster or not. we do not have any roosters. is this a normal thing? I noticed that this started after bringing home 3 8-week old EE's pullets. She was quite before....

Every single egg laid here is greeted by 46 chickens.

It gets pretty noisy at times....

Yeah, my hens do it too, but, Our rooster also chimes in when the hens cackle... That wouldn't be a problem if it was a cock-a-doodle-doo, but he cackles just like they do!
