Hen standing up when laying

This morning when i looked into my coop, one of my hens was standing upright looking strained. im wondering if this behaviour is a result of a problem with the hen.as i am new to hens im not sure if this behaviour is normal??

They do that when they lay. Some of them also make a wheezy sound. It's hard work getting that egg out!
