Hen that fluffs out and clucks constantly....why?

Our Buff Orpington has recently been fluffing herself out and clucking constantly. She spends a lot of time in the nest box. When we take her out of the nest box she makes a kind "purring" sound and fluffs herself up to double her size. My son claims he has heard her make some high pitch peeps, too. Is she broody and what can we do to break her of it?

I have a silkie thats broody she is fluffs and purs too. I think shes sitting

put some wire on the bottom were shes sitting . then she sould leave it alone .
