What is up with this hen?
I've had her for almost a full year now (July) and she has laid maybe 3 times total. The other two hens lay everyday without fail, yet she won't! In fact,.. I catch her 'overseeing' the process of the other hens laying like she's guarding them. I have a rooster, so she shouldn't be acting like this.
It seems like the only times she has laid is when I clean the whole hen house out-- which has happened 3 times in the course of this year. I can't sit there and clean it out every single stinking day to try and get this hen to lay.
Is it time to eat Sally?
