Jezebel seems able to stand on that curled claw when I uncurl her toes. Any ideas for some way to attach a flat surface to the pad... Like a shoe she can wear during the day? I have foam, or can create something if anyone has an idea. I would like to at least try it, since the only issue seems to be her inability to uncurl the toes.

I used these on my chick Bernadette and it enabled her to walk and have her foot flat on the ground.
After a few days and loads of vitamin B she was no longer needing the splint.

I've heard of people using pipe cleaners as a splint, forming them into a foot shape and using vet wrap to hold it on. You could also use small sticks the length of her toes, or toothpicks, if you're careful they don't dig into her leg.

If you have any foam meat trays from the grocery store, you can double them and cut to fit her foot to tape the toes flat. Here is a good splinting manual, and scroll down to page 21 to basic shoe foot splint. It looks like a kite shape, and you can tape the foot to it:
