Unfortunately I allowed 2 eggs to be hatched by a broody hen that were 1/2 Icelandic. One was identifiable by feathered Legs and appearance.
The other comes from another landrace, Swedish flower, so it’s gonna be tough to know.
I have 2 cockerals from that hatch, I would like to keep and breed. I want to make sure they are Icelandic.
All the chicken gene testing Services don’t offer a test to determine if a chick came from a particular hen.
I am willing to spend a bit of money.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
One of the cockerals - Robin Hood.
