The first two - I have no idea and unfortunately I froze them and they couldn't have a necropsy done. The 3rd, died a week after the other two, but she swallowed a screw that she found somewhere and was starving to death, so we had her put down. The first two were not sick, the day before each died, they were eating, drinking, hanging out with me without problems and they just died. Neither one had wounds from being attacked or anything. They were both buff orpingtons, so I took my 3rd buff to the vet the day after the 2nd one died and she was totally fine - there was nothing wrong with her. I wish I knew what killed them, but now we know to refrigerate a bird, not freeze it in order to get a necropsy done.Hoe did the 3 die?

I'm of the mind that if a hen decides to act like a BAD rooster, she gets treated like one. ANY chicken that draws blood on me goes into the pot.
