Hen with a swollen gland, neck?

Can anyone help identify and offer a suggestion for treatment of this lump that has appeared on one of our hens necks this morning, please.

It does not seem to hurt her when touched and I could not see anything stuck in her throat although its difficult to open a chickens beak for a long time!

It could be an abscess or tumor in the ear lobe. There also may be a respiratory infection going on since the ears are close to sinuses. Is the lump firm or soft and squishy? Are there any marks from pecking or injury?

Its fairly soft and flexible if that helps.

She seems okay in herself and I checked today and we don't appear to have any diarrhea around the place.

Will see how she is in the morning.
