One of our Black Silver Laced Wynadott hens is separating herself from the rest of the flock and acting off. She just lays down and doesn't seem interested in treats or anything. When I tried to walk up to her she got up and trotted away. However, I noticed her back end under her tail is almost completely bare and very red. We don't know what the problem is or what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated!

Can you catch her and take a picture of her? You can then closely examine her skin for parasites and check her vent for discharge. Without some pictures and some more information, it's a guessing game.

I'll try and catch her today or tomorrow and post pics and more info. Thanks!

Here's some pictures. I'm wondering if lice might be the culprit.

We have 16 other birds.
When I zoom in, I think I can see lice. I would spray her under her tail and belly and under each wing with permethrin. You can pick that up at TSC in the horse section.
