Hen with bloody vent

My chicken has a bloody vent. It looks a little off too, like sticking out a little bit, but not exactly sticking out, just kind of weird and bulgy looking. Not sure what's wrong. Any help appreciated.

It is a prolapse. Separate the bird. Apply honey or Preparation H to the tissue that is popping out. This should shrink the tissues so they return to their normal position.

Is any honey alright? should I clean the vent area first? How long before I know if the honey is working?

Clean the area first. Any honey should work. You should see a difference by tomorrow morning.
