I have a sick hen with diarrhea and is acting like she is getting weaker and lethargic.

I'm not sure what exactly what's wrong with her, but she has diarrhea and it has a strong smell to it. She dosen't seem too terribly intersted in eating

I have 3ml of 2.5% Baytril that I would like to give her, but I'm not sure about dosage and how to administer it. She weighs 5.25 lbs.

Can someone help me out with dosage info for her?.

5.25 pounds x 10 (mg per kg) / 25 = 0.95ml, and she needs that twice a day. Can you get more Baytril?

5.25 / 2.2 x 10 / 25 = 0.95 ml

She is around 7-8 years old guessing.

She hasn't laid in around a few weeks I believe.

I'll post some pics tomorrow

I only have the 3ml syringe of Baytril.

I can get amoxicillin and penicillin at the local farm supply I believe; any chance either of those would be effective?

Can I give her the Baytril for a couple days and then introduce the Amoxicillin directly after?
I can get the 250mg capsules at the farm supply; do I mix that with the water or try or give orally?
