Hi there

I have a 6 month old bantamXsilkie hen
She seems fine in every way apart from the fact that out of the blue, it appears her comb has massively grown overnight, and it droops to one side?

I have 2 other hens and 2 roosters from the same flock.
They all get along fine.
The other 2 hens have teeny weeny sized combs
Whereas the roos have tall proud ones

She just seems to stand out and I'm not sure if it's meant to be that way or not? (just since the other 2 haven't got much of a comb at all)
As I say, apart from that she seems fine in every way, it's a normal pinky colour
The only thing I have to add that may be of any use is, the girls have only began laying (about a week or so now)

Is this a problem/indication of anything?
More from the fact that its just seems to have sprout overnight and is floppy!
Better being safe than sorry though, eh?

This is her comb looking droopy and sort of flopped over to the side

This photo was taken about 2 weeks or so ago. It's not as big, as was firm (just like the roosters feel but maybe less thick?)

Hi!

I have 4 sex links and one of them has a droopy comb. I'm new to chickens but I don't think a floppy comb is a problem as long as there is no obvious signs of trauma. However, I don't think Jasmin likes her nickname "Floppy"...
