Hen with eye swollen shut

My 2 yr old RIR's eye is completely swollen shut. There is a clear discharge and she is still eating and drinking well. I isolated her and cleaned around her eye. How do I know if it's an infection or just an injury? It looks really painful. This is the first time I've had any problems and I'm not sure what to do next.

I noticed that this was posted a week ago. How is her eye? From the picture, it looks like she was pecked a few times and that it may be injured from that...
