I was wondering about my RIR hen that has what look like, a forked beak. I am unsure what to do about this. She has had it probably about a year and a half or so. She doesn't seem to have trouble eating at all (in fact she is the one that loves treats the most), and doesn't seem in any pain.

Thanks in advance!

You could clip each side back to make a single point. Just do a little at a time, and file if necessary. Or give her a rough brick, she will file it down herself.
Or you could just leave it, since it hasn't caused her any problems.

Ok! Thank you for the advice!

I’d leave it though and tell others you have a vampire chicken.
Hahaha, that would be funny! I never thought of that!! XD

Wow! What a great photo! She really is cute, fangs and all!
Aww, thank you so much.

How's your chicken doing with her beak? I have a rooster that is starting to get the same thing.

So just an update on my rooster (note, I'm not the OP, but I asked the above question) I put a piece of cuttlebone out in their run yesterday, and today his fangs were GONE. I'm posting this in case anyone was wondering what to do about this.
