Hen with identical scabs on both sides of head??

Hi, I’m back again.

One of my 5 year old birds who I’ve never had a problem with, Maggie, (Porcelain Duccle Bantam) has two almost identical scabs on the top of her head. Not on her comb.

I noticed one scab and figured it must’ve just happened because there’s been a recent power struggle in the coop. Then I noticed another, on the other side. The scabs are oddly flat, don’t look like something a beak could do.

There’s no sores, swelling or blisters, just those two scabs. So I don’t want to believe it’s a pox of any kind. I’ve been on high alert since Artemis passed away, and I want to catch everything right as I notice it.

She is otherwise acting very normal. Does anyone know what’s going on?

I'm wondering if she tried to stick her head somewhere, maybe to protect it during the power struggle, and that caused the injury. It doesn't look too serious, so probably not a worry unless you see something worsening.

Thank you. It’s just in such an odd spot, haha. I’ll update the thread if anything changes.
