Hen with noisy breathing - already searched - please help.

Thanks so much y'all. Pumpkin was my favorite of the easter eggers.

I kept telling myself that if we can make it to September and its promise of cooler weather, we'll be okay.

I'm sorry to hear you lost Pumpkin,

I'm sorry she died. I'm also sorry that it was a mystery. That happened with our rabbit. I won't get another one now. He was fine one day and dead the next. I'm sure I missed something.

That bites, Kat. I'm really sorry about your girl.
I would imagine it's this unrelenting heat. They have been subjected to these 100+ temps and heat indices for going on 2 months. You can't really fight it, I've done everything I know to do, and I've lost 6 and have another one that doesn't look good as we speak.

I sure hope your hen makes it easttx.

I think it would be different if they got a chance to cool off at night, but the nights seem even worse when it doesn't get below 80* or so and the humidity climbs higher after sundown.

I have misters in two places, fans in both coops, water spots everywhere, ice cold water from the deep well too. There's just nothing to be done for it.
