Go to the top search and look for post subjects: egg bound and also internal layer. For author, I would try dlhunicorn. If nothing comes up, run the search without an author. I saw a pic about a month ago that looked similar but not as severe. Goodluck!

i could be wayyyyyy off in left field here but here's what i found

Lymphoid Leucosis is a disease that affects chickens caused by the retrovirus Avian leukosis virus.

It is a neoplastic disease caused by a virus of the leucosis which may take the form of a tumor of the bursa of Fabricius and metastasis to other tissues of the chicken and cause enlargement and swelling of the abdomen.

yeah i saw that one also..mjsdhs......chicksmachine..try to do a search for those things...it will give you the symptoms..and maybe you can tell more from there?....sorry about your chicken...

WOW! Whatever you do, DO NOT LET HER NEAR YOUR HOME FLOCK! I would isolate all of those birds...far, far, away from your other birds, and I would make golly gee whiz sure that I used bio-hazard precautions, such as good hand washing and lysol spray on clothes and bleach wash on shoes to eliminate risk of cross-contamination....just in case! I would rather be safe than singing the "Sorry" song.
That is gnarly looking, any chance she might have a wolf worm that has gone septic? Just putting it out there...but you need the Unicorn.

OK should we try to operate or cull my nervous can't take seeing her this way I need to know what is the best course of action. Any advice would be much appreciated.

i wouldnt want to cause her any more pain..but that is me.......honestly its a personal choice....and a tough one..best wishes...Wendy
