Hen with suspected Ascites

I do feel the need to clarify - when I had hens with ascites, they were quite obviously fluid filled - much abdominal distention and waddling like a penguin. One of them had over 40 oz. of fluid. (I pulled it off and measured after we dispatched her.)

I decided to try using the Lilly of the desert herbal detox, today was her first dose, she was not cooperative and most of it ended up on my shirt so I'm going to mix it into her morning feed and feed her separately. Hopefully it alleviates her symptoms so she makes it a while longer, her belly hasn't gotten any bigger this week which I'm happy about, just in case i picked up some needles and syringes for if worse comes to worse.
